A photograph taken high on an English hilltop in very early morning among dense fog. The only non-natural element of the scene, the ornate wrought-iron bench, stands out sharply against the misty background, hedgerows, bushes and trees. The faint contours of a magnificent tree create a halo – almost crowning the ornate bench. This is what gave rise to the title of the image. From this high vantage point – the view from this throne is 50 miles in both directions.
